Lovely tiny space with big flavor foods - great vegetarian options. Highly recommend for a fantastic lunch.
Very good food. The pho is magical (great for colds). We usually get takeout, but you should dine in at least once. Their presentation is excellent.
In the heart of the downtown. This tiny establishment has great service, and food in a cozy ambiance.
Always amazing service and great food! Been going here for years. Consistently excellent.
Alli is a great waitress. Amazing food and friendly service.
I’ve had a lot of Thai food, and this is some of the best tasting and quality Thai food I have ever had. A must go!
Drunken noodle. End of story.
I'm a picky eater, but the waitress was really professional to explain to me everything. I LOVE stir-fry, and I was not disappointed with their Broccoli version. They left chunks of onions, which I don't like, but I'm not mean, so I just put them aside. The place had great prices, clean tables and floors, good staff, good timing. I definitely go back.
This place is awesome! The food their is so good! It is down town so all of the parking is parallel. If you like really spicy food I would only get the second least amount of spiciness. I can stand a little amount of spice so I go with the the first level. This place is really good!
Cozy, small place. Had the dumpling pho, was really good. I would recommend doing take out to anyone local as the seating is limited. Wasn't too busy when I went in (Thursday at 630), about half of the 8 tables were occupied. They do drink specials Mon-Thur according to their chalk board.
Nice, small place to go for a date night. It's cozy. The food was good and service wasn't bad. Prices are reasonable too.
I absolutely love this place! The yellow mango curry is my favorite thing to get here. Everyone is so friendly, too!
Good food and good service
I love it here! The pho is phenomenal.
My god the pad Thai was fantastic! The serving was enormous the spice was perfect and the service was friendly! Top notch they getting my money again.
I got the pineapple pork fried rice and the pan fried dumplings and it was amazing! Fantastic service even though we picked up our food. Will definitely be back!
Great pho
I adore this venue very much. there is a great ambiance. The food is splendid. the service is efficient and the waiters are friendly. The price is satisfactory. profoundly recommend.
It's great to have a Thai option is Newmarket. Food here is fairly authentic, properly executed and reasonably delicious. Small dining room and bar. Take-out is handy. Gracious and welcoming. Try the whole fish or Pho noodle soup.
Look, I know Newmarket doesn't necessary bring for thoughts of amazing Thai food. Newmarket is a very small New England town, and I would know because I live here. I was shocked as anyone when I first saw the sign go up saying they were coming into town. I was hopeful, but reserved as you may be feeling. The food is excellent. That is not an overstatement, it is excellent. If you have never tried Thai food or if you are a veteran of Thai food, hell if you are from Thailand yourself, you will love this food.
My first time.... food was good, service was great, prices were a little high. Overall Id go back.
Very good Thai food. Excellent service and a full bar. Our server had a great attitude !
Tasty veggie dishes.
They will make your dish to order and it's very nice
Amazing food. Great vibe and great price.
So we walked in to get our food and saw the new sign saying you have to have mask on to pick up food. No problem. What I have a problem with is that none of the staff was wearing masks.
Yummy, delicious food. Friendly staff. Wee will be back.
Excellent food!
This place is a family favorite. They were very accommodating to my 3 year old last time we visited and made him a special kid friendly pineapple rice bowl. Best pad thai around and their larb gai is also suuuper yummy. Staff is always friendly and they know my mom by name at this point. Will always reccomend this place for good Thai.
Big, fresh flavors from this small hidden gem.
Awesome food and service
Always a good meal.
Really great Thai food. Great service and friendly staff. It was like being welcomed into someone's home but with a touch of comfort dining. Food is at a spice level of 1-5. Was perfect heat allowing all the other flavors to be still there. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Great staff! Great good! I love the curry fried rice, so good!
Great food especially for the price! We will definitely return. Love that they offer take out.
Great food. Small place but often get take out. Always yummy and enjoy trying new dishes.
Absolutely amazing Pho !!! Very nice staff!! I cant wait to go back it was delicious and a really clean facility.
Really good Thai food in a cozy setting. Won't set the world on fire but absolutely fine if you like Thai. Service is good, prices are reasonable, large portions.
The pad Thai was delicious, and a great portion. The waitress was very friendly!
"This is the best restaurant in the entire world." This exact quote can be heard by me every time I decide to dine here. Although I have not had the luxury of trying every place in the world, I've tried most establishments in the area. This is by far my favorite one! They have better spicy wings than actual wing spots, as well as better "Chinese food" staples than other Chinese restaurants. On top of that they have plenty of authentic Thai dishes. The service has never been less than friendly and efficient and the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. I rented an apartment above Basil Leaf for several years AFTER trying their food and stayed longer in my rental than I wanted, partially because I didn't want to give this gem up. Do yourself a favor, whether it's takeout or dine in, try your favorite Thai dish here, because it doesn't get any better!
Solid Thai restaurant located in downtown Newmarket. Flavorful menu at affordable prices. Seating can be a little bit limited but many people do takeout. Very good pad thai.
Great atmosphere, diverse menu, and near impeccable service! Though it was busy and food came later than usual, I thoroughly enjoyed my first time. Would happily come again.
We enjoy going out. Last night we found this magnificent place which friends recommended to us. We enjoyed a delightful experience there with delicious dishes and an experienced stuff and a distinguished cook. We added this venue in our phone list and we will certainly go again very soon. We warmly recommend.
We ordered the red curry with chicken and the drunken noodles. We have ordered these dishes in the past from other restaurants, and felt like they weren't as flavorful as they could have been. Both dishes were lacking in spiciness and flavor, but were decent enough.
Love the staff. Order is always right and the food is delicious
Food was very tasty and hot. Freshly made. Had Chicken Pad thai, Orange Chicken , Crispy Spring Rolls, chicken wings and dumplings. All were great.
Went for lunch, very quiet. Great menu and service.
Great little Thai restaurant in Newmarket. And I mean little, as there are 5 or 6 tables. I was passing thru at lunch and got the pan fried dumplings and Tom Kha Gai soup. Delicious. But the cashier gave my food to someone else who paid for it and needed to be refunded. And they were out of take out menus and plastic cutlery. That little mishap aside, I came on the recommendation of friends, and would probably stop by again if I'm in the area.**2nd time- dine in experience was excellent. Tea was served when we were seated, fragrant and hit on a cold winter day. We had bowls if the Noodle Tom Yum with chicken, and an order of crab Rangoon. A plate if sprouts, fresh basic leaves and fresh cut lI'm wedges was served so we could dress the soup. If you want an extra kick, ask for the hot pepper oil and start with a small spoonful -it kicks up the flavor of the already delicious noodles and broth. The chicken was more tender the longer it sat in the broth. Worth a visit -eat in if you can.
Basil Leaf was a delicious well made and organized establishment, about 6 months ago... but unfortunately lately I have seen a serious decline in quality and care in the food they make. They seem to make their dishes at random now and putting whatever ever ingredients they felt like throwing in there that day....when asked about this, I was told its made at random eachtime confirming that they do in fact do that! So if you have any allergies I would highly avoid Basil Leaf!
Phorrito (on the daily special today) was very good! Came with a side of Pho broth which was also flavorful.Service was very good. We'll be back soon!
